INVENT Umwelt- und Verfahrenstechnik AG is pleased to announce strong investments in dedicated High Performance Computing Hardware for CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) applications.

Our new HPC-Cluster, running one of the most advanced CFD Software on the market, allows us to address complex fluid mechanical and hydraulic problems with unparalleled accuracy and reliability. With this move INVENT Umwelt- und Verfahrenstechnik AG is launching now a new series of CFD-based consulting services focused mainly on offering support and assistance with the design, optimization and modernization of hydraulic structures in water and wastewater treatment plants. The dedicated use of these large hardware resources for CFD Analysis, totally unprecedented in our industry, means a “quantum leap” in the world of CFD for water and wastewater treatment: Our clients will take full advantage of the ability to simulate very large and interconnected hydraulic structures, the highly accurate and detailed representation of the real basins geometry with all its internals, mixer bodies, aeration elements, etc. and also the ability to perform “transient” simulations. Transient simulation means “fluid simulation in real time” and presents a much more realistic and accurate way to simulate and analyze turbulent flows as well as a much more effective way to understand dynamic processes and to communicate results. The acquisition of this HPC-Cluster for CFD simulations is the perfect addition to expand our business range and to offer better services to our customers. With high performance CFD Analysis in combination with our physical testing facilities to validate numerical results and with our large experience in the field, we want to set new benchmarks for safety and quality standards and help reduce capital investments for the design or modernization of hydraulic structures.
